In Qatar, we continue to work together with the Qatar Football Association (QFA) to contribute to building a healthy society, bringing people together, encouraging understanding between different cultures and making the world a better and more inclusive place.
Globally, teaming up with leading global actors, NGOs and football for good organisations like the IFRC, CONCACAF, Right To Play and Mercy Corps, together with our founding organisation the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, we aim to further support ongoing football for development programmes.
By inspiring and engaging a generation of young Qataris and residents, and youth advocates, we seek to be a generation of active development instigators long beyond the FIFA World Cup™. We develop social and life skills through our GA educational football for development workshops and sessions, with the opportunity for our advocates to excel in their objectives, gain local and international exposure and convey GA values to local and international youth. We work together with role models and football legends, who carry our objectives forward and interact with us throughout our journey to spread our football for good philosophy.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™aims to showcase Qatar's unique identity - giving the country a chance to use football to connect people in a shared celebration of the sport and our region.
As a human and social legacy programme initiated alongside this global world football event, we aim to continue to connect people beyond the tournament. Our programme has benefitted over 75 countries and 1 million direct and indirect beneficiaries – from Qatar to India, Rwanda and Haiti and beyond. As the programme expands further, it will continue to inspire and accelerate social development, contributing to the legacy of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™.
